Ray White Mountain Creek hosted their annual Easter Egg Hunt at Glenfields Neighbourhood Park on Sunday 25th March.
We had around 250 children attend the event aged 0-12 years. The registration desk was quite busy – with every child receiving an Easter Egg Hunting bag, a hunting visor and Easter badges….and a couple of eggs!
Although the weather looked to turn, there was only a short shower of rain before the sun shone down and a great day was had by all. With plenty of activities including a huge jumping castle from Casper Jumping Castles, face painting done by Pickaface Face Paint, Coast Face Painting and Children’s Party Stars as well as Egg and Spoon Races and Bunny Hop sack races – there was lots of fun for everyone. Even the adults took part in the fun with an adults sack race! There were winners and grinners, falls and wet feet, prizes and lots of laughs.
Billy’s Buddies conducted some non-contact footy training drills and games. There were raffles and on the day we gave away a junior Ray White yellow bike with a basket of Easter Eggs as well as some meat vouchers and movie tickets with thanks to Sunshine Coast Daily – plus there is still a signed Melbourne Storm jersey to be drawn over Easter. Tickets are available at the office for $5 each and will be sold up until Good Friday.
We had families bring along their chairs and picnic rugs (umbrellas too) and made the most of the cool drinks and sausage sizzle with thanks to Lynne Goss from LoanMarket – and of course the coffee courtesy of The Coffee Crew Sunshine Coast.
The Easter Bunny made a special visit to start the main event – the Easter Egg hunt. The children’s hunting areas were divided into two – Under 5’s and Under 12’s – which gave them all ample opportunity to find some eggs. With over 4,000 Easter Eggs on offer – there weren’t too many tears from those who missed out. Thank you realestate.com.au for helping make so many children so happy.
This is the 4th year Ray White Mountain Creek has hosted this event and we always have a great day getting out and about in our community and providing fun and entertainment for the children. This year we have raised over $1,400 for SunnyKids.
Michael and Jodi Price of Ray White Mountain Creek, together with their valued staff members and volunteers, would like to thank you all for bringing your children to this wonderful event to support SunnyKids and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
