Mountain Creek boasts two main shopping hubs and three convenient local centres.  The Mountain Creek Shopping Centre provides a Woolworths ably supported by Brumby’s, Escape Travel, Chemmart, BWS, Mountain Creek Meats, Pink Poppy Florist, Etre, The Bargain Box, The Fruit Factory and Cut Your Losses hairdresser’s.  There is also a Woolworths fuel outlet nearby.

Brightwater Village provides an Aldi, No.1 Fresh Fruit, Cafe Elements, Stepz Fitness, Cellarbrations and  is also well-equipped business wise with Navigate Law, Alan Sparkes Town Planners and top class medical facilities.

The three local convenience centres at Buderim Meadows, Oakmont Centre and Mountain Creek Convenience Centre provide local take away and sit in dining as well as Foodstores, Friendly Grocers and a Lucky 7 for all those convenience purchases.

Whether it’s lunch or dinner you fancy, there is ample on offer in Mountain Creek. Our award winning hotels are constantly buzzing with locals, tourists and business people. When the sun goes down tastes from around the world come out, as the local restaurants prepare to test your palate with Thai, Indian, Italian and contemporary  Australian flavours. The Headlands golf Club also provides a great range of dining with a magnificent outlook over the golf course to the ocean.

  • Adventure in Mountain Creek

If a little adventure is more your style follow the Mountain Creek rainforest track for some fishing in the Mooloolah River or kayak out to the Parrearra Channel through to the ocean. Have a picnic in one of the many local and well equipped Parks, visit the many beaches within five minutes drive or head up to Buderim for some eclectic shopping.

The Mountain Creek schools  and various other community groups host a variety of special events throughout the year. If you’re in the area, be sure not to miss the Australia Day celebrations, High School Trivia nights, ANZAC dawn service and parade, Mountain Creek State School Fair and Carols by Candlelight, to name a few.

Everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer is easily accessible from Mountain Creek. Our recommendations: any of the surf beaches, from Alex, Coolum or Marcoola to the world famous Mooloolaba beach; Drive the scenic route to Montville and browse the boutique stores; Visit Australia Zoo; Enjoy a few drinks at the Brightwater Hotel beside the water after a family day out at Aussie World.

  • Mountain Creek Rainforest Trail

The Mountain Creek Recreation Trail is a network of walking trails alongside Mountain Creek. There are links through the bushland to adjoining residential streets at Coho Court, Felicia Court and Glenfields Boulevard. The trail network is a must for early morning walking or running close to home.

  • Buderim Rainforest Trail

A 45 hectare secluded rainforest only a 10 minute drive from the Ray Mountain Creek office.  The entry to the walking trails are located off Harry’s Lane and Quorn Close. Follow the trail through the abundance of tall trees, ferns, cascades and bird calls until you reach the Buderim Falls, a worthwhile reward.

  • Lara Drive Stairs

A local favourite for the seriously fit the stairs feature 146 rises, or drops depending on which way you are heading and accessible from dawn to after dusk. There are always many friendly locals working on their fitness here so bring some water and some stamina and pit yourself against the stairs.

  • Local Dog Parks

Always a favorite place for like minded locals to meet the off leash area at Syd Lingard Drive features both large and small dog areas.  Conveniently located just off the main road into Buderim and Mountain Creek this well looked after and frequented park will become a favourite of your canine friend. Conveniently located is an on-site coffee and snack van.  Introduce yourself to Lindsay who makes a great steak sandwich.
